High-speed autonomous correction of pressing force with the end effector! Polishing robots for skilled work.

Equipping industrial robots with the sensitivity of skilled workers, fully automating grinding tasks such as weld seam removal and deburring. Dramatically improving cycle time with instant correction.

High-speed automatic correction controls contact pressure for processing complex shapes from any angle. This is a system package optimized for robots using our unique technology, Active Compliant Technology (ACT), and angle grinders. Seeing is believing! Please check out our application example videos on our website or YouTube (FerRobotics). The AAK400 series is a package developed for small workpieces, allowing individual control of all parameters such as rotation speed, pressing force, and feed speed, enabling the automation of grinding processes in manufacturing environments and ensuring the highest process quality. Its compact and lightweight design, along with an industrial-grade grinder built for high durability, allows for continuous operation 24/7 with double the output of standard devices. Benefits: - Complete automation of grinding and deburring processes is possible. - Avoids risks associated with dangerous tasks through automation. - Reduces the risk of factory shutdowns due to unforeseen circumstances caused by the COVID-19 pandemic. Maximum contact force: 100N Maximum rotation speed: 10,000rpm Compatible with a wide range of materials for surface finishing, including iron, aluminum, titanium, magnesium, carbon, resin, wood, ceramics, and stone.

An end effector that can change tools in seconds! Skilled work polishing done by robots.

The end effector inherits the artisan's skill. It automatically adjusts the pressure (applied force) for polishing in an instant based on angle and workpiece distortion, achieving uniform pressure through automation.

FerRobotics Compliant Robot Technology GmbH has developed the ACF-K series, which focuses on collaborative robots using its proprietary ACT technology. It allows for easy exchange of hand tools such as orbital sanders, angle grinders, die grinders, and belt grinders. The series can accommodate various applications by replacing hand tools, enabling the automation of grinding and polishing processes without compromise. Seeing is believing! Please check our website or YouTube (FerRobotics) for example videos of applications. The ACT technology automates the grinding and polishing processes, which have been considered difficult to automate, by automatically correcting the load based on the dimensional variations and angles of the workpiece, completely controlling the pressing force for full automation. It is applicable for surface processing such as buff polishing, sanding, weld bead removal, deburring, scale removal, and paint stripping. This significantly improves production speed while maintaining high-quality standards. Benefits (Value Creation): - Tasks that can be performed by robots are assigned to robots, allowing human employees to be reassigned to creative work that only humans can do. - High-quality tasks with high reproducibility can be performed 24/7, 365 days a year.

Polishing acrylic glass with a robot. Automatic pressure correction, high-quality finish!

With high-speed automatic correction of contact force, industrial robots are endowed with human-like senses (tactile perception), automating polishing and grinding processes with the best quality! Dramatically improving management challenges and productivity.

FerRobotics Compliant Robot Technology GmbH has developed the UR+ model ACF-K using its proprietary ACT technology. It allows for easy setup on the teaching pendant for Universal Robots UR10, UR10e, and UR16e. The end effector (ACF) utilizing ACT technology automatically compensates for changes in dimensional tolerances, curved shapes, and non-planar surfaces by rapidly adjusting the stroke extension and contraction, ensuring constant contact with the workpiece at the set force. This technology increases the speed at which devices and robots can operate, thereby enhancing processing speed and improving cycle times. Additionally, in robot polishing and grinding, the ACF controls the pressing force through the stroke extension and contraction, eliminating the need to move the heavy robot arm for adjustments, which further assists in improving processing speed. Furthermore, it automatically compensates for tool load variations due to gravity changes at different robot angles, maintaining a consistent pressing force from any angle and enabling a finish without processing inconsistencies.
